Membership

Here is one type of membership open to all persons eighteen (18) years of age and older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribes to the purposes of this Club.

Membership is not restricted to residents of Berks County.

Current membership dues are $15.00 per person.

Each applicant for membership must attend at least two general membership meetings or one meeting and one other function like the point or match shows and then shall apply on a form provided by the club. The application shall carry the endorsement of two members in good standing.

Those applicants who do not have club member sponsorship because they are unknown to any BCKC members are required to submit two letters of recommendation (one from their veterinarian and the other from a reputable breeder or other dog club affiliate).

Members are entitled to attend the awards dinner free of charge and receive their awards at no charge to them if they acquire enough points from attending meetings and working at club functions. Members also receive discounts on club-sponsored seminars. The BCKC newsletter – BARKS FROM BERKS – is sent electronically approx. 6 times a year

If you are interested in furthering the advancement of all breeds of pure-bred dogs and in furthering your education, as well as interacting with others who have the same interests, contact BCKC Membership Chairperson:
